Demi Nandhra is a producer, writer, director and performance artist working across theatre and screen.
Her producing and creative credits include: Life Is No Laughing Matter (Summerhall, Edinburgh Fringe), which toured nationally and internationally, and was later optioned for television by Firebird Pictures, as well as The Trauma Show (Battersea Arts Centre), Sick and Tired (Fierce Festival), and Oil and Water (Contact Theatre). She has also contributed to writers’ rooms for Working Title Films and Mammoth Screen.
Demi is co-founder of Contemporary Other, a platform centred on care and the development of global majority artists. Her producing interests include artist-led approaches that centre care and access, particularly supporting disabled-led work.
She is interested in intimate, “navel-gazing” work that uses inner and domestic worlds to reflect wider social, political and cultural realities.
