Submissions for The Women’s Prize for Playwrighting 2021 are now open! The deadline for submissions is 12 July at 5pm.
The winning playwright receives £12,000 in respect of an exclusive option for Ellie Keel Productions and Paines Plough to co-produce the winning play.

Last year the prize was awarded to two plays: REASONS YOU SHOULD(N’T) LOVE ME by Amy Trigg and YOU BURY ME by Ahlam. Both were awarded the £12,000 prize and REASONS YOU SHOULD(N’T) LOVE ME will premiere at The Kiln 21 May – 12 June. Tickets are on sale now and you can book them right here.
We’re also delighted to announce today that Audible will produce an audio production of REASONS YOU SHOULDN’T LOVE ME.
